If you are awaiting a replacement then we recommend keeping your old licence intact until the new one arrives.

You can use the Driver Codes app to keep an eye on your replacement/renewal progress as the DVLA will typically update their driver database prior to the licence card being dispatched.

Simply look for the licence issue number and issue date on the main licence view of the app.
